The "Mufftar" is a guitar that was made for Doug Gabriel from a 1969 Ford Thunderbird muffler by Doug's father.

Doug still plays the original "Mufftar" Monday through Saturday mornings during the Doug Gabriel Show at the Jim Stafford Theatre in Branson, MO.

There are currently only two "Mufftars" in existence. The second "Mufftar" is a replica of the original "Mufftar" that is currently being displayed in the Branson Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum.
